PSA ABOUT DEPRESSION
Hello everybody!! 😸😸
Today I am going to share our project making a ''Digital Story'' with my group members, İrem and Halil. There were three options for us to choose and we wanted to do a PSA to bring awareness about depression rates in our country, Türkiye, because I think many people just ignore it or assume that it is a simple illness that everyone may go through.
What difficulties did I run into while making the PSA?
Actually, my part was pretty easy compared to other members, I think. I was a narrator and did research to use the information about the rates of depression in Türkiye. However, there wasn't that much information in the near years; that was a shock for me because depression is prevalent among many teenagers and adults.
Would I be using this for my students in the future?
I think it is a great opportunity for learners to gain understanding about digital literacy about video/text/audio. Editing, combining photos or videos, voice recording, etc., all will be helpful for them for their knowledge, so I will be making sure to assign them making a digital story if I have a chance.
