SPILL THE TEA 🍵?

Hello everyone!

Today I'd like to tell you about my first experience making a podcast!📟 You can click on the link below to listen our podcast and if you wanna join for our next ep don't hesitate to comment ☝️☕️

SPILL THE TEA EVERYONE

My classmate İrem and I made a Vox-Pop style podcast. We asked 10 of our friends about their “most preferred coffee orders on a daily basis”. The answers were quite diverse; it was great to see that everyone has their own taste in coffee! We especially had a lot of fun adding the sound effects and interacting with people.

Although the process was fun, editing the sounds and putting everything together was a bit challenging. It took time and patience for everything to be harmonious and fluid, but the end result was definitely worth it.

As a pre-service teacher I think that such practices can be very effective in the language classroom. Instead of just explaining listening and speaking skills, it can be a much more effective learning method for students to prepare their own podcasts. Such projects both allow students to follow their own learning processes and increase their self-confidence in speaking English.

Overall, this project was a very valuable experience for me and I can't wait to use such activities in my classes when I teach in the future!
